Dana's Transformation Stories.

 

These stories were written as a result of my encountering the TSA archive and then joining the TSA_List. Once I had joined the list, I lurked for a few days, and then I started writing. I am still writing. Some of these stories were never submitted to the List, for various reasons, and if you are a member of the List, and note a title you haven't read, you may wish to note it's reason for non-submission before you read it, you may encounter a Spoiler otherwise, and ruin a perfectly good surprise.

Oh, a special thanks to Marty (Disneylad@AOL.Com) who was kind enough to proof some of these stories for me. He did an excellent job, and if there are any errors in them, they are there because I came along after him and put them back in for some strange reason.

 Downtime Cafe Universe

While stuck on MoM, Act 3, I tried divirting myself with something different.
These stories are meant to be each "Self Contained", so please excuse the repetitous background info.  I tried to vary it a bit each time though.

Inside Job
When a guest needs help trailing a van full of stolen goods through a rainy new years, Terry convinces Jake and Shelly to help out on their days off. After all,it’s not like they had anything better to do, right?

Easy on the Onions
One of Jake's old school mates is a guest, and seems to think Jake is just another simulation instead of a real person.  Is it true, or is his old friend just pulling his leg.

Lost Soul
A woman enters from 1970, looking for a guest, her father, who visited back in 1950, and spent three wonderful weeks with her mother, before vanishing 20 years before, leaving only his name, and that of the Cafe as clues. Clues her mother just passed on to her as she died. Now she wants to find her father. But the greater concern is, how can she even exist? SIMs, the people who populate the timelines, can't notice the Cafe, let alone enter it. And yet, she is NOT a guest

 An older couple, trying to re-ignite the lost love life of their youth take a second honeymoon, on the same cruise on which they met over thirty years before.  So, why is it that things keep going wrong, and howcome the crewmembers all seem to resemble the cast from the old TV show, "The Love Boat"?

Home Away From Home
When you work Inside for four weeks at a time, you are entitled to take some time off.  What happens if you meet that special Someone while playing around on your day off, and yet you know for a fact that she is not real.

Meltdown
When data contamination starts to affect the reality of a simulation to the point that it is impossible to meet any further waypoints, the only solution is to wipe the timeframe and regenerate it from the actual known datapoints.  But what happens if a guest hasn't returned yet from that frame? How do you find them and drag them back to the Cafe before reality literally crumbles around them with potentially catastrophic concequences?

Based on the Highlander Universe.  Featuring original characters, along with some familiar faces from the TV show.

On a rainy night in Georgia, the lives of twenty year old watcher Sue Danning, and her almost four thousand year old Immortal subject Eadgils collide in a way which will leave one of them dead, and the other changed, forever.

Join Sue, Eadgils, and several others on their journey, as they experience a meeting of minds.

Four Coachmen of the Apocalypse, Now

Kind of a crossover of Meeting Of Minds, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, based on the mayhem in Chapter 25 of Meeting of Minds.

Buffy watches helplessly from the drive through window as a group of people, who admittedly gave her the wiggins, are attacked by a gang of Vampires. Why is she feeling sorry for the Vampires?

Be aware, while this is a stand-alone story, it will be a bit of a spoiler if read before Meeting of Minds, at least through Chapter 24.

It was co-authored with another writer, and it has been stalled so long everyone else has been killed off in this universe. Literally.
It is likely it will never get any further than it is now. Which is a shame, as it is the seed for a good story.
