Undernet Channel Saga

The Undernet Channel Saga was created by WiNC Powell, as a setting for a series of stories based around the #TSA_List channel on the Undernet.

I guess I was just lucky, cause she chose me as her first victim. As she started writing, she would ask me questions about things relating to the story, in an effort to keep it as close to reality as possible, I suppose, and after a while, she decided I was giving so much input to her story, that is should be a joint venture.

Well, I have never worked with another writer before, with two exceptions. Both of those were in school, and one was a nightmare, the other one was not bad. Working with WiNC has been a synergy. I have actually enjoyed working on this story more than writing on my own.

As I write this, we have portioned out the work as follows:

She wrote the Prolouge by herself.

Next she wrote Chapter 1, with input from me, and then sent it to me so I could mess around with it. When I finished, I sent it back to her, she sanded off the burs, and submitted it to the list. (I have left her comments on the top of the first post, even though they do make me blush from all the nice things she says.)

I wrote Chapter 2, this time with input from her, and sent it off for her to mess with, and then I rounded off any sharp edges, trashed the spelling and grammar, added a hopefully equally embarrassing Note on top, and sent in.(Again I left the comments, even though mostly they say the same thing as I did here.)

She gets to start Chapter 3. :)

The Saga involves a strange Computer Genie, which gets onto the Internet, and... Well, read the story. :)

Chapter 2

Winc is no longer interested in this story, and has given it to me to finish if I want.  Not particularly happy leaving an unfinished story hanging out there, and even less so leaving my poor avatar trapped as a cold, wet, 16 yr old girl in a big empty house, with only a babeling-babe-in-waiting for company, I will endeavor to complete the story, however please don't expect to find the same deapth of story as there was in the start - with out my co-author's input this story will be but a pale shadow of what it could of been, had it only been completed promptly, back in '96.    - Dana Short, June 2004.
